Fast forward your career by joining our Speech and Language Therapy team. We are looking for a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join our Head and Neck/Voice/Airways SLT team. This post is split between working with voice and head and neck cancer patients across Charing Cross and St Mary’s Hospital sites.

Our department is full of opportunity for therapists who are passionate about providing a high quality service working with Head and Neck cancer patients and those with a voice disorder. Are you someone who can work independently, but also as a team player? Would you enjoy the opportunity to use and develop your dysphagia rehabilitation, laryngectomy SVR, and voice evaluation skills in a supportive environment? Are you interested in strengthening your learning and understanding of perceptual and acoustic voice analysis? Would you like to learn more about instrumental dysphagia evaluations? If so, this is a chance to develop your career in a prestigious London trust with access to highly skilled clinicians and multiple learning opportunities.
We are looking for a Speech & Language Therapist with a keen interest and experience in Head & Neck Oncology and voice disorders to join our Speech and Language Therapy team at Charing Cross Hospital (CXH). As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide a highly specialist service to inpatients and outpatients at any stage of their oncology and voice treatment pathway. Surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy are provided on site and we participate in weekly multidisciplinary clinics including Joint Head & Neck clinic, Radiotherapy clinic and a CNS/AHP-led Pre-treatment clinic. We hold weekly videofluoroscopy swallow clinics and provide an SLT-led FEES service across all inpatient and outpatient services. In addition, we provide a tertiary referral laryngectomy problem solving videofluoroscopy clinic and are the only centre to offer both basic and advanced formal training in Surgical Voice Restoration in the UK. The service is focused on driving forward evidence based practice and service improvements across head and neck cancer/ENT specialities, and team members are actively encouraged and supported to participate in CPD activities, audit and research.
