Our Commitment to you is to help you gain a Level 3 Business Administration Standard within a 16 month contract. Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £165.00p/w.

As part of the apprentice programme you will learn in the workplace and have off the job training.

The UHL Cardiac Surgery Department is an emergency-led service, based at Glenfield Hospital. The unit is a centre of excellence within the UK and also enjoys international recognition. To support the organisation, department and team in carrying out a range of administrative duties, in order to provide an effective and efficient administration service.

To provide general office and administration support service to the team.

To ensure that consistently high standards of customer service are delivered at all times.

 

You will work as part of a team comprising a wide range of healthcare professionals - doctors, nurses and administrators. To provide the correct up to date information to patients, colleagues, other departments within the Trust, external organisations and the general public

Under supervision produce accurate letters, minutes, reports and maintain databases etc, as required

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the NHS and to work with a high-performing team. This programme will include 1-1 training, shadowing and training sessions on NHS clinical systems.

 

To qualify for the apprenticeship role the minimum criteria is:-

  • that you must have GCSE in English and Maths
  • have not completed an apprenticeship at the same level and sector in the past
  • do not have a Degree in a similar or same subject
