Hospital at Night (H@N) team.

24 Hours per week

The Rotherham Foundation NHS Trust (TRFT) has a deserved reputation as one of the most forward thinking and innovative Trusts in the Country and we are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to work as part of the H@N team at TRFT.

We are a single site trust looking to recruit innovative senior staff who will embrace the Trusts exciting service developments. Utilising a hybrid hospital at night model thispost involvesworking within the H@N team with a clear emphasison flexibility anddevelopment of the service eventually leading to the establishment of a 24/7 Acute Response Team (ART). Due to the nature of this role non-medical prescribing and advanced physical assessment and consultation skills are essential. The post will require internal rotation and will involve but not be limited to -

  • Effective co-ordination of medical team activities, being the first point of contact, prioritising the workload of out-of-hours care and allocating tasks to appropriately skilled personnel to ensure appropriate and timely care for acutely ill adults.
  • Work in conjunction with medical staff in the clinical assessment of compromised patients with a wide ranging and complex medical problems.

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure, and you can choose to have this deducted from either your first month’s salary or in instalments over your first 3 months’ salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.

The Trust offers free car parking at the Woodside Building (Woodside Building, Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2TY) if your interview is at the Main Hospital Site, which is a five-minute walk from Woodside. New starters to the NHS will start at the bottom of the advertised salary band.
