Band 3/4 Development role

We are looking for an experienced therapy assistant to take up this role within the Acute Therapy Team in Diana Princess of Wales Hospital working with the Frailty, Medicine therapy team. This team sees a range of medical patient within the Hospital wards, Acute Admissions Unit and accident and Emrgency.

The focus of the role is to Assess and support individuals to Improve their abilites in order to ensure a safe discharge home from the hospital or prevent admission to Hospital . Interventions can therefore include a range of assessments and rehabilitation activities, assistive equipment, assessment for equipment , advise and information sharing.

Excellent communication skills are required to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care from the multidisciplinary team involved.

The post holder will be required to hold a foundation degree in Professional Practice or an equivalent level 5 qualification in a relevant subject area.

The purpose of the post is to provide a high standard of Therapy service working under the supervision of registered Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
