Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The NHS Leicestershire Health Informatics Service (LHIS) is currently looking to appoint a highly talented individual to head up the function within Service Delivery dedicated to product development and the subsequent marketing and business development thereof – potentially through bids and tenders, maintaining relationships and dealing with complaints and service failures.

This role is to lead the Account Management team (Business Relationship Management function) providing a service covering business in General Practice, LPT, CCGs and external customers outside of the local NHS family.

This role is critical in ensuring that not only is external income driven up but also that as relationships change in the NHS, that new strong relationships are forged, maintaining customer loyalty and revenue income. LHIS will need to constantly evolve and change to deliver this agenda and this role will be pivotal in leading on that demand for change through service development and procedure.

The candidate will have experience of taking the lead on responses to I.T tenders and bids and must have a proven track record of responsibility for the commercial aspects of an organisation and the on-going review of business development direction and focus within an information technology environment, including experience of government framework submissions.

The individual will be expected to manage the entire communications and marketing strategy with the on-going embedding and implementation of the plans, the corporate digital web presence, including social media and the entire sales cycle from either the initial tendering stage or lead generation, including working on tender documentation, discussing contracts, drafting Service Level Agreements and devising first-class bespoke information technology service and product offerings.

As this role is health and care sector focussed, a thorough understanding of the business processes and procurement lifecycle of public sector organisations would be an advantage as would be the ability to prioritise in a demanding and diverse commercially focussed environment.

You will also need to be able to manage consistently multiple projects at once and meet challenging deadlines. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously but deliver results within a very well established team.
