The Covid-19 Testing Service are looking to recruit a healthcare assistant who will work alongside registered nursing colleagues and the management team to ensure that in-patients are tested for Covid-19 as directed, over a 7-day period.

The role will entail timely and effective testing of in-patients together with the testing of elective patients and members of the community as appropriate. Ensuring specimens are labelled and collected in a timely manner. You will be working alongside the Covid-19 Testing Team, laboratory and the wards. When not working on the wards, you would be required to support the Covid-19 Testing Service within Leighton Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to response to different communication needs of patients. They will also work effectively as part of a team. High quality patient care should be at the forefront of your expertise.

The role will be worked across a seven day working pattern and therefore a flexible approach to work is required
