You will support and advise on a wide range of issues including interpretation of a range of policies including sickness absence management, disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, change management and terms and conditions of employment.

This is an exciting role with a broad scope of responsibility so we are looking for an individual who will work well as part of the team to achieve results and also use your own initiative.

You will be confident in your communication both on the phone and by email. You will be required to keep various systems up to date and accurate so attention to detail is essential to ensure compliance and data quality. Ability to multi-task is essential due to the nature of the work.

You will excel in working as part of a team but also be able to work independently to deliver the highest standards of support. An ability to work under your own initiative is therefore also required as is the ability to analyse a situation in order to provide a focused solution.

The role requires you to be pro-active, enthusiastic and willing to learn. It is necessary for you to attend online training to undertake this role. The role will be based at St Mary’s Hospital which has free parking but in this current climate we will require you to mainly work from home. Whilst most meetings are currently held virtually, you will need the ability to travel independently across the Trust as required for which public transport is not easily available.

The post is for 22.5 hours per week which will be required to be worked over three days, 8:30am to 4:30pm. This is a fixed term contract with the potential for it to be extended/permanent.

If a DBS Check is required for your role the Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost of the DBS check (Enhanced Check £48 or Standard Check £30) by way of deductions from your salary over the first 3 consecutive months of employment with the Trust. As a condition of your employment you will also be required to register with and to participate in the DBS Update Service, and will be responsible for maintaining payment, and subscription to the DBS Update Service (£13 annual payment).DBS checks for volunteers remain free of charge.

The Trust currently pays a non-consolidated supplement in order that all our staff receive the equivalent of the Living Wage Foundation Rate.
