Are you the IT apprentice that we are searching for?

We are the IT department team at Benenden Hospital and are currently looking for an apprentice to join our IT Infrastructure team on a two-year apprenticeship programme.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for IT who wishes to start their career journey in IT.

During this time, you will be supported to study for Infrastructure Technician Level 3 qualification and will get involved in projects to grow your IT skills.

Your key responsibilities whilst undertaking your apprenticeship will be

  • Provide 1st line IT technical support to telephone requests and emails from users
  • Initial triage and investigation of IT support incidents
  • Liaison with 2nd line support teams
  • Management of incident tickets logged with 3rd party suppliers
  • User account administration
  • Maintenance, set up and configuration of laptops, mobile devices and other IT kit
  • Maintenance of end user IT documentation and self-help tools
  • Regular IT data maintenance and housekeeping activities
  • Various recurring IT administration activities

This is a fulltime role 37.5 hours per week and you will be required to work Monday to Friday with the occasional need to work Saturdays and Bank Holidays.
