Can you demonstrate our values of Trust, Respect, Integrity and Compassion? Do you share in our ambition to create high quality, compassionate care and wellbeing for all?

Then take a step towards LPT...

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Are you passionate about supporting the Mental Health and Wellbeing of young people and their families? Are you able to work in a proactive, creative and solution focussed way to help young people overcome challenges and achieve their goals?

We are looking to recruit an experienced, passionate and innovative Occupational Therapist to join the Outpatient Service within Specialist CAMHS working alongside a supportive multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be working specifically with a multi-disciplinary team in the Outpatient Team which covers Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Alongside case management, the successful candidate will provide specific Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions and contribute to the delivery of workshops for Parents.

The post offers excellent opportunities for further development, clinical experience and learning. CAMHS runs internal CPD events and is committed to further development and opportunities for creativity and quality improvements in care delivery. Regular Clinical Supervision and Case reflection opportunities are provided.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills and previous experience of working in mental health or with young people and families is desirable. The successful candidate will be confident in applying evidence based models of occupational therapy that focus on maintaining and restoring functional ability and occupational participation. You will have strong engagement and motivational skills and be flexible in working with service users with complex mental health needs, their families and support systems. With the challenges of the past year, there has been an increase in young people experiencing emotional and social difficulties and Occupational Therapy has a valuable role in understanding and helping children and their families.

There may be an occasional requirement to undertake flexible hours such as evening and weekend work. This is to support the CAMHS provision of interventions for families and young people and offer choice for accessing support.
