Team Leader / Senior Research Nurse

An exciting opportunity has come up in our Clinical Research Network hosted by one of the largest acute NHS trusts in the country.We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Research Nurse and Clinical Research Practitioner to support and lead the delivery of high quality research studies in a number of different clinical specialties including Covid-19 vaccine trials and Covid-19 treatment research. This role involves line managing and training research nurses and clinical research practitioners, therefore exposure to these skills is essential.

This post is a Clinical Research Network position, you will be employed by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, you will work flexibly across the Partner Trusts which comprise the North West London Network also including travel to community services in Hertfordshire, Surrey and Sussex sites.

The post-holder will be required to work with all members of the Multidisciplinary team in the recruitment, screening and care of patients entering into clinical trials. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of clinical trials whereby they can make a valued contribution to increasing the number of patients participating in research to meet national targets.

The post requires excellent communication skills, leadership and management exposures and an understanding of scientific research protocols. The individual must be happy to work flexibly and travel to different sites with the ability to work autonomously and as well as part of a team are essential. Experience of working within the NHS and in the field of clinical research is also essential.

The post is for 12 months, in the first instance, with the potential for extension and offers opportunities for professional development.
