An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Immunisation Office Administrator to join our school-aged Immunisation Service. The post is for 37.5 hours worked over 5 days 8-4 (we would consider job share)

This will be a Fixed term contract until 31st August 2021

The SCFT Immunisation Service vaccinates children in schools and clinics across West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton and Hove.

This post will be based in the Chichester team, but you may be required to travel to provide support in offices across the whole SCFT area.

Our innovative and dynamic Immunisation teams are dedicated to improving immunisation uptake and delivering the national evidence-based Schools’ Immunisation Programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding service.

The post holder will act as a first point of contact within the service for internal and external enquiries, directing them to the appropriate recipient and demonstrating the ability to record information and messages accurately. Work will include handling complex reports and confidential correspondence, along with working on team drives, and inputting/retrieving data from databases and from handwritten forms. Other duties will include filing, stock monitoring, photocopying and minute taking for the team.

You must be experienced in typing/word processing and be able to demonstrate high quality administrative skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. There will be an enhanced Excel test at interview.

You will need to have excellent written and verbal skills to deal with a wide range of people, both clinical and non-clinical. You will need to be able to work under pressure, be able to meet deadlines and be prepared to provide administrative support at clinic venues across Sussex.

We welcome applicants who can demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly and cooperatively with colleagues both within their own team and the wider multidisciplinary teams across the whole SCFT area. You will need to be motivated, conscientious and committed to supporting us to maintain high vaccination coverage.

The role requires working core hours of 8am-4pm, with flexibility at either end of the day for assisting with packing of vaccines and clinic administration, on a rota basis within the team.

Experience of working in children’s services would be an advantage.
