The Radiology Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital is seeking to recruit an experienced Team Leader to join the team. The team is spread over a number of imaging units in the main hospital and Outpatient clinic areas. The department provides Radiology services for inpatients and outpatients under the care of specialties at Great Ormond Street and also for patients under the care of other Trusts.

The Team Leader post will cover the General X-ray and Ultrasound area.

This role involves processing radiology appointment requests, maintaining an organised and welcoming reception area, liaising with a wide range of staff, scheduling appointments with families by telephone and ensuring that appointments are scheduled within the routine 6 week diagnostic waiting time, adhering to the Patient Access Policy and RTT 18 week pathway guidelines.

The successful candidate will be friendly, bubbly and have high attention to detail. Experience working in a busy front facing reception role in a healthcare or customer service setting will be highly regarded.
The team leader will be responsible for the line management of five administrators and therefore supervisory experience is highly essential. You will need to be able to work well under pressure with a good sense of humour, be proactive and have great communication skills. communication skills and the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.

Alongside the Trust PAS system, the department uses a Radiology Information System to schedule and report investigations and administrators provide important initial data input to ensure that patient safety and data quality are of an excellent standard. Training will be provided, but ideal candidates will have good IT skills and experience of using health care information systems and Microsoft Outlook.
