Bank Band 7 Senior MRI Radiographer


We are recruiting for highly motivated and talented Senior MRI Radiographer for a line of work based in St Mary’s Hospital for Imperial Staff Bank.

A suitable worker must be flexible to work any of the shift patterns 5 days a week across Monday- Saturday. Possible shifts are; 07.45-16.15, 09.45-18.15, 09.45-18.15, 12.00-20.00 or 14.00-22.00; please note the service only runs one shift on a Saturday this would be 09.00 – 17.15.

This is a Senior band 7 role therefore suitable workers may supervise and line manage band 6 staff and students, they may also be required to manage the service alone for part of a shift.

Rate of Pay: £25.86 (including WTR, pay rate depending on day and time worked)

Your Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years MRI skills within CNS, MSK, Thorax (Breast, Cardiac), Abdomen, Pelvis, Vascular and Trauma.

  • Previously worked with Paediatrics and Adults as well as sedated, intubated and non-intubated.

  • Must hold SOR/ University accredited IV certificate of competency

  • Must have acute hospital experience

  • Previous experience using GE systems

Location: St Mary’s Hospital (MRI units)

Special skills: Advanced Radiographer who holds minimum of 2 years MRI skills within CNS, MSK, Thorax (Breast, Cardiac), Abdomen, Pelvis, Vascular and Trauma. Previously worked with Paediatrics and Adults as well as sedated, intubated and non-intubated

  • Must hold SOR/ university accredited IV certificate of competence
  • Familiar with working in an acute hospital setting
  • MR scanners to work on
  • Suitable workers must a minimum of 1 years GE systems experience. The following systems are used in this role:
  • 1.5T GE HDX MR systems
  • 3T GE VR750 MR systems

Shift patterns: Suitable workers must be flexible to work any shift 5 days a weeks between Monday – Saturday

Potential shifts: 07:45-16:15 , 09:00-17:30, 09:45-18:15, 12:00-20:00, 14:00-22:00. The service runs one shift on a Saturday 09.00 – 17.15.
