Consultant Obstetrician

Applications are invited for a Consultant in Obstetrics at University Hospitals Leicester. The post is aimed at a candidate with an interest in maternal medicine in particular prematurity prevention.

UHL is one of the largest maternity units in the country and offers specialist services. The CMG provides secondary and tertiary level care, teaching, training and research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Currently the service is provided over two sites and the post holders are required to work flexibly across both sites.

The successful candidate should have extensive experience in labour ward management and advanced practice and demonstrate the ability to undertake and teach others to undertake complex obstetric deliveries. The RCOG ATSM in advanced Labour Ward Management is essential. The RCOG ATSM in advanced antenatal practice is highly desirable.

Applicants must have full GMC registration with valid license to practice and be on the Specialist Register or eligible for entry within six months of the date of AAC or equivalent.
