Consultant Psychotherapist Lead

Specialist psychological services within Derbyshire are growing. To support this, we are now looking to recruit permanently into the lead role for psychodynamic psychotherapy within Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

This role is to support the Head of Specialist Psychological Services in developing this key service within the Trust and leading the psychotherapy service into its next stage of growth.

This role carries elements of expert clinical work and delivery, but leadership, consultation and the ability to lead and develop the adult psychotherapy service are key.

You must have the ability to make autonomous decisions, liaise and communicate with other parts of the Trust (and beyond).

Experience of the management of people, systems and budgets is essential.

If you are an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist, from any professional discipline, have experience of leading a team, line management and are keen to help grow psychological services, then this may be the role for you.

You will be credible in relation to your area of expertise and recognised internally as well as externally to the Trust, as reflected by positions held in specialist interest groups and other bodies, by your publications or other role deliverables.

You will be innovative and passionate about your area of expertise and have the will and energy to work with others to achieve a gold standard psychotherapy service.

At Derbyshire Healthcare, we support our people to grow and achieve their best.

So if you are looking for a new role that brings the opportunity to develop services using creative and innovative ideas, whilst raising the profile of psychodynamic psychotherapy within a supportive peer group of highly skilled clinicians, then this may be the role for you.

Come and join Team Derbyshire!
