Are you looking for a newly qualified occupational therapy post or want a rotational band 5 position, We have permanent vacancies for the Band 5 Occupational Therapist Rotation scheme

Our 6 monthly rotations currently cover the following areas of practice and you will be based in one of these areas:

  • Integrated Medicine  & Surgery
  • In Patient Orthopaedics
  • Neurorehabilitation
  • Stroke Unit
  • Frailty
  • Intermediate Care
  • Winter ward
  • Locality Therapy

Some of the rotations involve a weekend day as part of our 7 day service provision, but all posts require flexibility to work extended hours (currently up to 6pm Monday - Friday) also weekends and bank holidays.

Our aim is to provide a high quality, efficient service to maximise patients’ independence and function with the intention of facilitating safe, timely discharge and prevention of hospital admission. There will be an opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients many of whom have complex needs.

All our teams:

  • Are based in multidisciplinary teams
  • Are based in modern well equipped facilities
  • Have at least one Senior member of staff within the specialty
  • Commitment to preceptorship, supervision, PDR, CPD and staff training. 

Applicants should be excellent team workers and be able to demonstrate good communication skills.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current HCPC registration
  • An interest in working in a community based setting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid work permit or be eligible to work within the UK

The post is subject to Pre-Employment Health Screening and DBS checking.

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure, and you can choose to have this deducted from either your first month’s salary or in instalments over your first 3 months’ salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.

New starters to the NHS will start at the bottom of the advertised salary band.
