We are seeking an experienced, innovative and highly skilled Band 7 Children’s Physiotherapist with a special interest in PICU and acute paediatrics. The post holder will work flexibly as part of the Children’s Physiotherapy team to provide a 7 day 24 hour patient-centred service to the PICU, High Dependency Unit, Paediatric Accident and Emergency, major trauma and paediatric wards. They will work alongside the two established Band 7 Acute Children’s Physiotherapists and health care practitioners that are highly regarded for their work in paediatric sepsis, critical care medicine, infectious diseases and haematology.

The post will give you the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills with supervision and support from the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist and Clinical Specialist Children’s Physiotherapists. Excellent teamwork, communication skills and a passion for teaching are vital for this role as you will be responsible for the training and development of physiotherapy staff and will contribute to multi-disciplinary team training on PICU and the paediatric wards.

The post holder will work in a friendly environment as part of a large integrated acute and community team that provides high quality, family-centred care to children and young people across paediatric and neonatal inpatients, the Woodfield Child Development Service (CDS) and the musculoskeletal (MSK) service. The Children’s Therapies Service is committed to evidence based practice and professional development opportunities, weekly in-service training and service improvement projects are encouraged and well supported.
