Administration Assistant

Job Reference: 415-J21-178

Northern Devon Healthcare Trust
Patient Experience
£18,005 - £19,337 per annum pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Patient Experience team as an Administration Assistant. The role is part-time (22.5 hrs a week) on a permanent basis.

The Patient Experience Team is a Trust-wide support service which manages and co-ordinates the feedback the Trust receives about the services we provide for patients, their families and carers. This role is all about making a difference to people’s experience of healthcare.

You will have a key role in helping staff across the Trust to gain feedback from patients, their families and friends, and finding out what matters most to them. You will provide administrative support to a range of tasks including reviewing data from patient feedback, inputting information into our database, typing documents and dealing with routine queries.

Our ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable and enjoy interacting with a wide range of people. They will be well organised and pay attention to detail. Importantly, they will have a positive attitude; enjoy working as part of a team and find satisfaction in improving our services.

Closing Date: 19th April 2021

This post is being offered as Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust and the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust continue to develop our long standing partnership with a view to becoming a single integrated organisation across Eastern and Northern Devon. Working together gives us the opportunity to offer unique and varied careers across our services combining the RD&E’s track record of excellence in research, teaching and links to the university with NDHT’s innovation and adaptability.

Our values guide everything we do. At all times, we aim to:

  • Demonstrate compassion
  • Strive for excellence
  • Respect diversity
  • Act with integrity
  • Listen and support others

Our teams of care professionals work with patients and their families to support peoples’ independence, health and wellbeing. We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.

In our most recent staff survey, our staff voted us in the top 10% of NHS provider organisations to work for and we also came out as the top provider in the South West for our overall results. Our patients (through the Friends and Family Test) regularly report an average of over 95% satisfaction with our services.

Please note that we may close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applicants.

Pay award due with effect from Thursday 1st April 2021, implementation pending NHS Employers publication.
