Great Ormond Street hospital Cardiothoracic Scrub team are looking for an experienced passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated scrub practitioner to come and join our amazing highly skilled Scrub team.

There are 2 dedicated Cardiac theatres which run 5 days a week, as well as having an on call service that covers our ITU for ECMO’s, transplants and emergencies.

We would like you to have theatre scrub experience, with desirable cardiac experience. We work closely with the multidisciplinary team so excellent communication skills are needed, as well as your ability to act as patient advocate whilst in theatre.

You will have an opportunity to develop your scrubbing skills as well as have the opportunity to access our fantastic Education team which has a vast range of in house and external courses available plus weekly teaching sessions.

We are the largest Paediatric Cardiac Centre Unit in Europe, specialising in congenital heart surgery, as well as carrying out the highest number of heart and lung transplants in the UK.

We are a small and hardworking team, who are committed to providing excellent care to our patients. Nationally we help to produce some of the best outcomes in the UK for paediatric Cardiac surgery. Do want you to come and join our team to help be part of these fantastic outcomes?
