Time to Talk has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join its expanding service in West Sussex. You may already be working as a Senior PWP, or you may be a PWP with significant post-qualification experience wanting to progress your career within low intensity Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT).

The successful applicant will be expected to provide case management and clinical skills supervision to a team of PWPs and trainee PWPs based in Worthing, West Sussex, with a strong emphasis on developing trainees. You will also be required to manage a small caseload offering high quality, evidence-based low intensity interventions including telephone, face to face, group and online, and you will help to ensure the effective delivery of the low intensity programme.

As a senior team member, you will be given the opportunity to use your skills, knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to providing psychological therapies in a role where you can influence the development of both clinicians and services in addition to holding your own caseload.

We are a highly successful, established team of psychological therapists working in GP practices and community venues providing the complete range of NICE compliant psychological therapies, including step 2 low intensity and step 3 high intensity psychological interventions across the south region of West Sussex. Time to Talk is a nationally-recognised and high-performing IAPT service with a reputation for clinical excellence, innovation, and collaborative working with secondary care and voluntary services.

The multidisciplinary team consists of CBT Therapists, Counsellors, PWPs, and Administrators and Employment Advisors. We are commissioned to provide services from 8am to 8pm and all staff are required to contribute to providing 7.5 hours cover over this daily time frame.

This is a team that supports each other in and between each of the disciplines. We value team spirit and encourage all our staff to be as mindful of their colleagues as they are of our clients.

We have quickly adapted our service to enable the continued provision of psychological therapies via video platforms and telephone working. Staff have been equipped with laptops and mobile phones, enabling them to work from home. As the situation evolves and we return to working from bases we will move to a blended way of working, keeping the innovations that have worked well. It is envisaged that staff will be able to work one or two days a week from home as part of the new ways of working.

This post is based in Chichester, but the post holder will need to be willing and able to travel throughout West Sussex as required.
