An opportunity has arisen to appoint a number of Information Analysts in the Health Protection Division.

The post holders will work within either the Vaccine Preventable Disease Programme, Sexual Health/ BBV Programmes or the Antimicrobial Resistance Programme, providing analytical support for surveillance and epidemiology of vaccine preventable diseases, vaccination programmes and respiratory infections. They will also work in the Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre across a number of infectious disease subject areas and programmes of work, providing information management and analytical support on various surveillance schemes.

The post is based at Number 2 Capital Quarter, in central Cardiff. For this position, you must have a good honours degree in a scientific or numerate subject, or equivalent relevant experience. You will have demonstrable experience of managing and analysing complex data sets. We are looking for a team player with good organisational and communication skills, who can demonstrate a flexible approach in order to meet the needs of the team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

In general, anyone joining our Trust who has not previously worked in the NHS will, by default, start on the first point of the advertised pay band. Pay progression will then be determined by annual Performance and Development Reviews in accordance with the NHS Wales Pay Progression Policy. An application for Incremental Credit may be considered, but can only be awarded based on evidenced reckonable service and/or equivalent, relevant experience.
