A career in nursing

We are in the exciting and forward thinking position of being in a partnership service with Leeds City Council and provide temporary care and rehabilitation for the most vulnerable older patients living with frailty, not quite well enough to be in their own home but not in need of hospital care.

You'll work in the Community Care Bed Team who offer seamless support and care to our patients. The teams are made up of a wide range of healthcare professionals to deliver nursing, therapy and social care provision. The focus at all times on the individual helping them to progress to going home. We have 72 community care beds across our partnership and the bases are in the South and the North West of the City. Our service runs 24 hours every day of the year.

 Community Care Bed nursing suits people who are comfortable working both independently and within a wider team. You'll be resilient, motivated and adaptable to working in an ever-changing environment. And of course, you have a passion for providing the best possible care.

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service.
