An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale Integrated Community Stroke & Neurorehabilitation Team (ICSNRT).

You will be based within the HMR ICSNRT at Rochdale Infirmary, but affiliated to the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust Hospital, as a part of the Northern Care Alliance. The Clinical Neuropsychology Department at Salford Royal is a well-established service consisting of a friendly and supportive team, which provides specialist clinical neuropsychology services for the Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre, and in a number of local Community Teams.

You will be jointly-responsible for developing and evaluating the service, and will work alongside ICSNRT colleagues to deliver and promote the service via the provision of multi-disciplinary team working, teaching and training. You will be working alongside another part-time Principal Clinical Psychologist. Regular specialist supervision will be provided by a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist.

You will have a strong interest in working with clients with acquired brain injuries, long-term neurological conditions, and stroke. Previous experience of working with clients with neurological difficulties is essential. The ability to utilise psychometric cognitive tests is necessary. Completion of the academic component of the Qualification of Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) is a prerequisite. Access to transport is vital.

The Northern Care Alliance is an integrated provider of hospital, community, and primary care services, including the University Teaching Hospital, therefore you will also provide supervision and teaching for Trainee Clinical Psychologists from courses across the North West.

This is a part time (0.6 WTE) position.
