Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) is a national centre of excellence in the provision of specialist children's health care, currently delivering the widest range of specialist care of any children's hospital in the UK.

The post-holder will be within a team of information analysts working within the Information Services Department and liaising closely with Operational and Performance colleagues.

The post-holder will support clinical service delivery and performance management throughout the hospital, as well as delivering external statutory reporting, through the development of business intelligence analysis using the Trust’s information systems.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Understanding the business requirements of the Trust and translating these into clear and user-friendly information
  • Analysis and visualisation of the data to support operation of the hospital
  • The production of statutory and mandatory returns datasets and extracts
  • Supporting junior colleagues, reviewing their work and ensuring the data quality and usability of reporting.
  • Ensuring that the information services staff and other key staff members are prepared for changes in data sources, local and national guidelines
  • Promoting and supporting the Trust’s data quality agenda
  • Supporting the development of reporting through the development of reporting datasets
  • Providing technical support and knowledge sharing with both technical and non-technical colleagues across the Trust
