We are seeking to recruit a successful and credible leader to the role of Operations Manager - Specialist Practice. This is a key role in the Service line management structure and will be responsible for the day to day management of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and Ambulance Doctor Resources and as such will be a role model for operational staff. Reporting to the Deputy Head of EPRR and Specialist Practice, the Operations Manager - Specialist Practice has operational responsibility for the efficient and effect day to day management and smooth running of the Service line. The Operations Manager - Specialist Practice will deputise for the Deputy Head of EPRR & Specialist Practice and in their absence will assume full responsibility for the Service line.

A key part of this role is line management responsibility for the Air Operations Officers working across the Trust.

Build and maintain relationships with all the charities providing enhanced or critical care services in partnership with SWAST

The Operations Manager - Specialist Practice will be responsible for helping the Deputy Head of EPRR & Specialist Practice deliver high quality patient care across the Service line being responsible for ensuring consistent operational working practices and working in conjunction with their counterparts across the Counties to make sure best practice is identified and implemented.
