We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our community dietetic team based at Sherwood Rise Health Centre. This post will provide a range of opportunities to develop your dietetic practice and work alongside experienced dietitians. Your caseload will include patients with a range of conditions, including diabetes, undernutrition and non-complex gastroenterology. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary community team to ensure optimum care is provided to patients across the city. The team work in a variety of settings including community clinics, patient’s homes and care homes.

You will need to demonstrate good communication skills and knowledge of a variety of therapeutic diets along with the ability to communicate dietary information in an understandable form. We are looking for someone who shows initiative, has an understanding of health inequalities and a desire to develop their skills. Continuous professional development is supported at all levels of the organisation and you will be encouraged and supported to build on your knowledge and skills.

There will be opportunities to participate in student training, get involved in resource development and contribute to project work. The community dietetic service also has a team of paediatric dietitians who work alongside the adult team on professional development.

The adult community nutrition and dietetic team work across the city so being a car driver is essential. Nottingham is a vibrant, multicultural city with great leisure facilities and easy access to beautiful countryside.
