A rare opportunity has arisen for Band 6 post to join a team of specialist nurses in the Homeless Health Team working with very vulnerable and complex client groups in Nottinghamshire. Full time or job share hours will be considered.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist Nurse passionate about health inequalities with the drive and confidence. You will work innovatively to increase engagement and service access for our homeless and vulnerably housed population.

You will need experience and demonstrate working knowledge of local and national issues affecting clients with drug and/or alcohol problems. You will be working as part of an effective team, wider partnership working and skills to facilitate access to local services for this vulnerable group is essential.

We are looking for someone with a positive approach, motivation, enthusiasm and a passion to work with an existing homeless health team.

You must be able to demonstrate effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, be able to work methodically under pressure, use your own initiative and enjoy working as part of a team. You will need to have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and a strong commitment to customer care. Previous NHS experience is a distinct advantage.

The core service hours are 8am-6pm over 4 days Monday – Friday with a need to be flexible in order to respond to citizens needs including out of hours support. You will work across Nottinghamshire in a variety of settings.
