Please note qualification from PWP (IAPT)Training Course or equivalent i.e. Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with significant and relevant Primary Care experience is essential to this post.


Service/Ward/Department Summary:
Stockport Healthy Minds is part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Programme and offers assessment and treatment for people referred via their GP or through a self referral pathway, with common mental health problems. The service works with adults aged 16 and above, from various backgrounds.

The service is made up of a multidisciplinary team, including Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Counsellors, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, EMDR therapists and Psychotherapists.

Role Summary:
Stockport Healthy Minds are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed qualified PWP to join their highly successful and motivated team. For the role, you must have a Diploma/Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological interventions in order to provide high volume, low intensity CBT interventions for people with common mental health problems.

You will be delivering assessments and Step 2 interventions to clients remotely via telephone and online video-based platforms. You will support clients through online CCBT programmes and facilitate digital psycho-educational groups. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, written and spoken communication skills along with the ability to work flexibly. You will need to have a suitable private and confidential space to work within, with reliable broadband access. The role is home-based, however you will have a commitment to occasionally travel to Trust sites in order to complete essential training.

All new starters to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust who are appointed to a post which requires a Disclosure Barring Certificate check (DBS) will be recharged for the full cost of the check. Substantive staff will have the amount deducted from their first months’ salary. Members to the Trust bank must repay the full amount from their first pay. The Trust encourages all staff and bank workers to register with the DBS update service at an annual cost of £13, for bank members this is obligatory. The cost of an enhanced DBS check is £40 and for a standard check £23, both attract an administration charge of £3.50.
