An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager at the University Hospitals of Leicester, within the Pharmacy Department. We are one of the largest NHS healthcare providers in England providing a range of local, regional and national services across three sites


The Pharmacy Department provides a full range of clinical and supply services operating across all three main hospital sites. These include dispensing for inpatients and discharge, aseptic dispensing, procurement, medicines information, home care and clinical trials, as well as an extensive clinical pharmacy service. We are currently leading several large projects within the service making it an exciting time to join our team

You will work closely with your General Manager and our Chief Pharmacist to ensure effective service development, operational management and delivery of a high quality service. You will support the department with their agenda relating to service redesign, modernization and new ways of working to meet the ever-growing levels of patient activity and service demands: therefore a logical thinker with strong organisational and influencing skills will be required for this role.

You will be an inspiring and credible operational leader with the energy, drive and determination to successfully respond to the changing expectations and needs of the department and of the trust. . You should have excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to empower and lead others to ensure the delivery of a high quality pharmacy service
