Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist

£31,365 - £37,890 per annum pro rata

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Nurse Specialist to work in our Respiratory nursing team at Northern Devon Healthcare Trust for 22.5 hours per week.

The post holder is to work clinically to provide evidence based specialist advice, health promotion, treatment planning and day to day management of a designated caseload of patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea requiring initiation and follow up of patients on CPAP therapy. Initiation and follow up of patients requiring non-invasive ventilation and taking of arterial blood gases. The caseload also includes management of patients with asthma, TB and Interstitial Lung disease that require drug counselling and disease monitoring.

The post holder will be required to work in the outpatient department, office, ward visits and undertake domiciliary visits so access to transport is beneficial for this role.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of clinically effective, efficient and high quality care to people with complex Respiratory needs, ensuring that this care is both evidence based and reflects current practice.

Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for this post.
