An opportunity has arisen to join the Community Responder Department within South Western Ambulance Service as an Assistant Community Responder Officer in the Gloucestershire area.

We are looking for an individual to join our team who has excellent communication skills and able to establish and deliver community based resuscitation training to support our Community Public Access Defibrillator initiatives across the trust.

The primary role of the Assistant Community Responder Officer is to support the day to day management of Community Public Access Defibrillators (CPADs) and Static Site Responders. Delivering annual Basic Life Support & Defibrillator awareness training within the community and local businesses, as part of the trusts supportive defibrillator package that is on offer.

Alongside this the role also supports the Community Responder Officer with the training and development of Community First Responders and additional volunteering projects across the area.

C1driving licence is a requirement for role. If not already held it must be achieved within 12 months of appointment to role (Self-funded).
