If so, South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic PTS Apprenticeship mentor specifically for the Thames Valley area. You will be part of the PTS Education Team based at a SCAS operational resource centre (Oxford) with expectation of occasional work within Newbury Education Centre.

The successful candidate will enhance the educational and operational aspects of the Apprentice Emergency Care Assistant (ECA) programme. You will support and help with the facilitation of non-clinical education courses and programmes from the classroom to simulated enhanced learning technologies, by delivering mentorship to apprentice ECAs in the operational setting.

The PTS Apprenticeship Mentor role will provide guidance, mentorship and training to trust-wide Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) apprentice ECAs through professional development, accountability and supporting on-the-job learning. The successful candidate will have good sound knowledge and understanding of the role of an Ambulance Care Assistant with prior exposure or experience of the Patient Transport Service operational setting. The post offers an exciting opportunity and career development for someone who demonstrates enthusiasm and dedication. Together with the drive to maintain the high standards and the advancement and evolution of current and future education practices. The successful applicant will hold a valued place in the Education Team.
