Join the multidisciplinary team at Wellesley Hospital providing care to men and women with mental health conditions in a modern and purpose-built hospital with low and medium secure environments.

Reporting to a Registered Psychologist, you will join the psychology team where you will be guided and supervised as you assist with assessments, formulations and treatments to people within a group and 1-1 sets.

As a Psychologist Assistant, you will assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

Other responsibilities:

  • To hold a caseload of clinical work, including carrying out individual psychological intervention
  • Undertake collaborative risk assessment and management for individual patients and to provide general advice
  • Carry out these duties in consultation with the Lead Psychologist and identified supervisor, and contribute to the maintenance and development of a high-quality psychological service

To be successful in this role, you'll need

  • Experience of working within a similar environment.
  • 2:1 Psychology degree
  • To meet professional practice expectations and the BPS code of ethics
  • A BPS accredited recognised degree in Psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR)
