Are you one of the following clinical professionals, who has recently or are soon to retire?

  • Nurse or midwife currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Doctor currently registered with licence to practice with the General Medical Council(GMC)
  • Pharmacist currently registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Chiropodist/podiatrist, dietician, occupational therapist, orthoptist / prosthetist, paramedics, physiotherapist, radiographer and speech and language therapist currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Dental hygienist and dental therapist registered with the General Dental Council
  • Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council.

If the answer is YES, we would love for you to join our immunisation team within Swansea Bay who have the responsibility for delivering the Covid – 19 vaccine to our population within our Swansea Bay community.

Currently we have three sites, opening times seven days a week 8-830 daily:

  1. Bay Field Vaccination centre- Swansea,
  2. Margam Orangery
  3. Canolfan Centre- Gorseinon.


Fixed term Band 5 agenda for change contracts are available, that provide annual leave/sickness and professional indemnity as well as all normal NHS terms and conditions. These fixed term post are for between 15hrs to 37.5hrs per week.

If however you have restrictions in committing weekly to set contract hours, we also have the Covid bank available, which also offers the same Band 5 rate of pay but allows individuals to choose shifts at the three sites according to their availability.

Full vaccinator training that will include face to face training and mandatory E learning modules will be provided prior to commencing employment as a vaccinator. In addition once all mandatory training has been completed, successful candidates will be required to undertake a clinical competency assessment prior to working as a vaccinator.
