Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and an approved plan to build a brand new, state of the art Emergency Department which will commence in 2021

ROTATIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST
SALARY SCALE – BAND 5
37.5 hours per week
HOURS WILL INCLUDE SOME SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS AND SOME ROTATIONS WILL INCORPORATE A 7 DAY WORKING PATTERN
The successful candidate will be required to assess and treat patients for Therapy Services throughout the clinical areas of Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. The post holder will be required to join the rotational scheme; moving between specialities every 5 months. The rotations are:

The post holder will be expected to participate in the in-service training programme for each rotational area and will be supported to complete all appropriate competencies. This will also include being able to join the respiratory on-call service.
Due to the nature of the work throughout the whole of the health economy, successful candidates will need to be in possession of a driving licence to legally drive within the UK and to have means of accessing a vehicle for the purposes of work.
New opportunities will be available for band 5 staff to enter into a band 6 development role after 15-18 months where there are band 6 vacancies available within the organisation. The role will be for 12 months in order to complete core rotations, to develop key skills required at band 6 level in the appropriate specialty and to demonstrate competency at the required level.
All post-holders will be appraised using KSF and therefore the department promotes CPD activity.
