Are you a qualified assistant practitioner (foundation degree/apprenticeship)? We Principal Medical Limited (providing NHS community services) are looking for an assistant practitioner clinician to join our Hospital at Home team. We are a community based service covering North/North East Oxfordshire. The team is small (currently 10 staff) and friendly we pride ourselves in delivering excellent clinical care for patients within their home environment.

If you are caring, kind, willing to be hands on with patients and can work as part of a team but also use your own initiative and looking for a new opportunity to further enhance and develop your skills this may be the right opportunity for you.

The Hospital at Home service is operational seven days a week from 8am to 10pm; the team work a mixture of ‘early’ and ‘late’ shifts within these hours.

The patient group we serve is varied, and can be complex but rewarding. Referrals come via GPs, paramedics, nursing teams and hospitals. We work very closely with the patient’s own GP, providing holistic approach with a focus on admission avoidance or discharge facilitation.

Those interested in arranging an informal visit are welcome and for further information about the role or PML, please contact Vicky Spurs at

All clinical staff are eligible for inclusion on the NHS pension scheme. Mileage and regular car user allowance available( for car users with access to a car).

We believe that local care providers, who know and understand the health needs of their own patients, and who are used to working collaboratively in their region, can provide the best quality and most cost effective integrated primary care services. We work to develop services we know people want and need so that patients get the best care options for their circumstances.

After over a decade in business, we have a proven track record of success in delivering a diverse range of services and we are continually looking to bid for new contract opportunities and to recruit motivated and ambitious staff to join us.
