We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded £2.2 million in order to build a new SDEC unit which will include a full new clinical area which the service will operate within. The unit operates 0900-2200 each day (7 days per week).

Therefore An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of a staff nurse in this newly developed Same Day Emergency Care service at Macclesfield DGH.

All patients attending the Emergency Department will be assessed utilizing newly developed pathways and inclusion/exclusion criteria to ensure the patient s journey is effective and efficient. Patients will be then signposted to the SdEC unit as per clinical pathways recommend. Cross working within the Emergency Department will also be required

  • Funded training for courses such as Advanced Life Support (ALS) , in association with the Critical Care Unit, the Safe Critically Ill Transfer Training (SCITT)

This post is Permanent

Hours per week: 37.5

Shift patterns: shifts will be either early (0730-1330), late (1300-2030), long day (0730-2030), 0900-2200. (7 days per week, 365 days per year)
