Stroke Services Physiotherapy Band 6 In-Patients

Snibston Stroke Unit Coalville Community Hospital

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated Physiotherapist with stroke experience, to work for the stroke services provided on Snibston Ward at Coalville Community Hospital. This is a 15 bedded in-patient service delivering specialist stroke care and therapy to patients requiring rehabilitation. We work closely with our community colleagues in ESDS (Early Supported Discharge Service) and CINSS (Community Integrated Neuro Stroke Service).

All our community hospital wards have a multi-disciplinary approach to patient management. Nursing and therapy are integral with the ward team.

The post holder will demonstrate they have a range of transferrable skills in providing stroke therapy, from experience gained in either a hospital or neurology / stroke community setting.

You will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation which follows evidenced based practice, working closely with the team of Physiotherapists and T.I’s and MDT including the Stroke Specialist Consultant, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Matron, Ward Sister, Occupational therapists, Speech Therapists and Dietician. You will also work closely with the Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to further develop the service and ward team.

LPT offer a comprehensive mandatory training programme and the successful candidate will also be supported to undertake regular clinical supervision, participate in CPD activities and develop any specific areas of interest.
