A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our team in Acute Medicine at York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundations Trust. We are seeking candidates with a passion for acute care, primarily to work within our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit with scope to work across acute medicine when required. The ACP will work within locally and nationally agreed protocols and guidelines to exercise independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of undifferentiated and undiagnosed cases referred to our SDEC Unit.

 

The ACP will provide a high level of expert clinical care and ensure that evidence based practice is inherent in all aspects of care and treatment. Promoting clinical leadership and standard setting within acute medicine. You will work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, working closely with our acute physicians, taking referrals from the Emergency Department and General Practitioners across York and surrounding areas.

 

The successful candidate will be joining a well-established team of ACP’s who are key to delivering acute medical care across on our bespoke SDEC unit and our acute medical floor.

DBS Checks - All new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. The charges are currently £27.20 for a standard check and £44.20 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for. Please note that Volunteers and Bank only staff will not be charged.
