A permanent, part- time 30 hours per week Specialty Doctor is required to join our friendly and enthusiastic team supporting the delivery of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) based at Darlington Memorial Hospital. Applicants should have previous experience in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and dento-alveolar surgery.

The role will encompass new and review outpatient consultation clinics, oral surgery and soft tissue biopsies under LA as well as Day Case General Anaesthesia.

The successful applicant will be joining a well-established, high quality, high turn-over Oral Surgery service with an opportunity to further their career development.

Close relations exist between the service based at Darlington Memorial Hospital and that of the main OMFS service at James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough.

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

  • youth cautions, reprimands and final warnings will no longer be subject to automatic disclosure
