Specialist Clinical Pharmacist Parenteral Nutrition/Aseptic Services Are you interested in paediatric clinical pharmacy? Do you have an interest in aseptic pharmacy services? We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team of specialist pharmacists at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated clinical pharmacist with hospital experience who is aiming to develop a career in Paediatric Parenteral Nutrition together with a role in Aseptic pharmacy services. Hospital in-patient and some aseptic experience is essential and though paediatric experience would be desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided. The post will be based at Sheffield Children’s hospital which is one of only four independent specialist paediatric hospitals in the UK. We care for patients from neonates to age 16 years from a wide range of specialities including neurosurgery, oncology and Haematology (including Bone Marrow transplants), endocrinology, neonatal surgery, metabolic disease, gastroenterology, respiratory diseases, intensive care, cystic fibrosis and neurology. The hospital has recently been refurbished to provide modern and welcoming patient facilities. In spring 2021 we are opening a brand new pharmacy aseptic unit with state of the art facilities. It is an exciting time to join this team. You will provide support to the Aseptic services manager where you will help to develop and maintain standards within aseptic services as well as training other staff members and deputising for the manager when necessary. In addition, you will provide support to the lead pharmacist in clinical PN and provide a clinical service to in-patients. Our aim is to be at the forefront of best practice in delivering high quality and integrated care to children and young people. You will join a pharmacy department with over 60 staff, including 23 other pharmacists with expertise in a wide range of specialities, in providing pharmacy services to children. You will be expected to participate in the full range of services provided by pharmacy including clinical ward service, dispensary and aseptic services when required. Candidates will also be expected to participate in the department's emergency duty rota, weekend and bank holiday rotas. The hospital is situated in the heart of this vibrant and exciting city yet only a 15 minute drive from the beautiful Peak District National Park offering a superb quality of life.

37.5 Hours per week.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
