Post 1: 37.5 hours per week – 12-months’ fixed term contract.
Post 2: 37.5 hours per week – permanent.

Two opportunities have arisen to join the Podiatry Service as a Healthcare Assistant within Podiatry.

The roles will combine both clinical and clerical duties. Clinically, the post holders will support podiatrists working in Plymouth, South Hams and West Devon area in outpatient clinics and in the domiciliary setting. The post-holders will assist clinical staff in the delivery of podiatric care, including assisting in Nail Surgery sessions.

Clerically, there will be a mix of administration tasks, typing, and supporting podiatrists in clinical audit activities.

Applicants should hold Vocational Qualification Level 2 (or equivalent) in Healthcare. Previous experience in the healthcare setting is desirable preferably as a Healthcare Assistant.

The successful applicants will be required to undertake support the Podiatry Team across the Service’s commissioned area, which includes the South Hams and West Devon area; therefore, the ability to travel to these locations on a daily basis is essential.

The post holders will come into contact with a diverse range of adult and some paediatric patients, but will be fully supervised at all times.
