Right now, we’re recruiting a Business Manager to contribute to some truly unique research and development. You’ll provide a wide range of business and administrative support to experts working on vital lab and clinical projects.

About the role

Principal investigators and research staff will rely on the excellent business support service you provide. From laboratory to clinic, they deliver cutting-edge research with a profound purpose: saving and improving lives through a wide range of services to the NHS. And they couldn’t do it without you behind them.

You’ll enjoy a wide range of responsibilities - from supporting operational, financial and administrative aspects of projects, through to helping us develop protocols for trials and studies. What’s more, you’ll help to ensure we adhere to regulatory requirements and you’ll liaise with ethics committees to obtain approval for important research projects. You’ll also assist with drafting reports for organisations including universities and funding bodies.

About you

  • Honours degree in a relevant science / healthcare related subject or equivalent experience
  • Highly motivated and able to motivate others
  • Commitment to building positive and collaborative working relationships
  • Good organisational and time management skills, enabling you to meet tight deadlines
  • Awareness of NHS research governance and other guidelines governing conduct of clinical trials and knowledge of current data protection legislation would be an advantage

This vacancy is on a fixed term/secondment basis. Secondments will be considered for NHSBT staff wishing to apply for this role.
