CRN EAST MIDLANDS RESEARCH SUPPORT TEAM (LEICESTERSHIRE HUB)

12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT or SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY WITHIN THE NHS

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is the host organisation for the Clinical Research Network East Midlands (CRN EM), one of the 15 LCRNs across England which form part of the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network

CRN East Midlands have a 12 month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity vacancy to cover our own CRP secondment within the Research Support Team Leicestershire Hub.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person interested in undertaking a clinical and administrative role supporting NIHR portfolio research studies. The post holder will be a member of the Clinical Research Network East Midlands Research Support Team (CRN EM RST), which is responsible for supporting portfolio research across the East Midlands region. RST continues to play an active part in supporting the conduct of the COVID-19 vaccine trials and Urgent Public Health studies throughout the Pandemic.

We are keen to hear from applicants with excellent organisational and communication skills and can demonstrate computer literacy with experience in data collection systems. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative. Experience in clinical skills, the delivery of clinical research trials, commercial and non-commercial is an advantage but not essential as training can be given.

A requirement of the role is that applicants must be willing and able to travel to different sites within Leicester. The post base site is the Victoria Building, Leicester Royal Infirmary, but some travel across the East Midlands may well be required.
