We are an integrated hospital and community services healthcare organisation serving around 400,000 people in Hartlepool, Stockton and parts of County Durham. We also provide bowel and breast screening services and a number of community based services to a wider population in Teesside and Durham.

Our turnover is around £275m and we employ a number of medical, nursing, clinical and non-clinical support staff totalling approximately 5,500 people.

We operate our services from two main hospital sites, University Hospital of North Tees and University Hospital of Hartlepool.

The University Hospital of North Tees provides emergency and planned medical and surgical care, maternity services and a wide range of diagnostic services and outpatient clinics

The University Hospital of Hartlepool provides patients with a wide range of diagnostic services and outpatient clinics, day case and low risk surgery

We also run services from various other sites across the local area including Lawson Street (Stockton), One Life Centre (Hartlepool) and Peterlee Community Hospital.

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions provides a range of Estates, Facilities, Supplies and Procurement services to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The company is a separate legal body to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary and not the NHS.


North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions offers its own Terms and Conditions of employment which differ from the national NHS Terms and Conditions. As an employee in the company you will benefit from:

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic individual to work in the Procurement & Supplies Department within North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions, and join a rapidly expanding and constantly developing function.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a high quality service and support to Theatres in relation to all Inventory Management activities including, but not limited to, the order, receipt, distribution and management of Loan Kits, implantable devices and clinical and non-clinical consumables. Working under the supervision of the Supply Chain Team Leader to assist in the day to day management and provision of a customer focused supply chain service, ensuring a seamless supply of goods to Theatres aiding in the provision of patient care.

We are looking for an individual with flair and commitment to deliver a high quality service, who also embraces continuous improvement. A flexible approach is also essential as there will be a requirement to work at both our North Tees and Hartlepool hospital sites. 

The successful candidate must be computer literate with extensive experience of using electronic Inventory Management Software and the Microsoft Office Suite of business applications.  The role requires the candidate to have extensive knowledge and experience of stock control, supplies/stores functions and providing excellent levels of customer service. The ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation is an essential requirement.
