An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join our Brighton and Hove Community IV Therapy team. The post would suit an experienced Band 5/6 nurse who would like to further develop their community nursing and IV therapy skills.
Community experience is desirable, but not essential as full induction and training will be provided.
The team provides care for patients with long term vascular access devices/chemotherapy pumps and patients discharged from hospital requiring ongoing IV antimicrobial therapy, and also handles GP referrals for hospital admission avoidance. The service operates seven days a week, 8am to 6pm, and the successful candidate will be expected to work weekends on a rotational basis and coordinate the caseload.
As the team covers a large geographical area, applicants must be car drivers with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
