Job Specific: Adult Mental Health Senior Occupational Therapist

Location/Base: Crisis Resolution Home Treatment - St Mary community campus. Portsmouth

Hours per week: 37.5

 

 

Solent NHS Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Mental HealthOccupational Therapistto join the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment team (CRHT). You must be a qualified Registered Occupational Therapist

The successful applicant would be expected to work within a multidisciplinary team. The role requires the successful candidate to offer occupational focused assessment, formulation, intervention plan and supervision of Junior staff to deliver interventions to patients with complex functional needs in their own homes and communities. There will be the expectation that the applicant delivers specialist Interventions that require OT alongside this.

You will be expected to assess patients in crisis and offer practical alternatives to hospital admission. The role will provide rapid assessment, planning and delivering effective, Evidence-Based home treatment in collaboration with service users, Carers and professionals from other established services. A strong emphasis is placed on assisting service users to learn from the crisis and in their recovery

Assessment and risk assessment skills will be required. Experience of working autonomously and within a team environment is also essential.
