Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Directorate of Mental Health Clinical Governance Team as Complaints Facilitator, 22.5 hours per week at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled individual who is passionate about making a difference to patient care to join a dedicated Clinical Governance team.

The successful applicant will develop close working relationships with staff within the Directorate and staff across the Trust to support our vision and play a vital role in the delivery of an efficient and effective complaints service.

You will also be expected to liaise directly with complainants and other external organisations, maintaining a patient centred approach to resolve concerns. This may involve facilitating and supporting with resolution meetings which you will be required to attend.

You will be expected to maintain high standards of complaints handling in line with legislation and take opportunities to ensure the Directorate learns from and improves the service we provide to our patients. You will also maintain high standards of data entry to ensure our information on complaints is reliable and robust. You will play an integral part in the monitoring of complaint responses to ensure progression in a timely manner to comply with the timeframes agreed by the Trust.

The post holder will report to the Complaints and Clinical Governance Practitioner within the Directorate of Mental Health and will be part of a very supportive Clinical Governance Team.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

For all substantive roles the appointment of every new member of staff (excluding medical and dental staff) to a post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, details of which are in our Probation Policy.
