We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our friendly team at The Devon and Cornwall Sexual Assault Referral Service (SARC), Exeter, on a fixed term basis for 12 months to cover maternity leave. (37.5 Hours per Week)

The Sexual Assault Referral Service supports all people in Devon and Cornwall who have experienced rape or sexual assault. We provide a range of services including forensic examination, medical assessments and counselling for adults and children who have suffered sexual harm. The admin function supports the efficient delivery of the service, supporting the clinical and managerial teams in their day to day work.

Main duties include: providing excellent customer service by responding to incoming telephone queries in a timely and accurate way, minute taking, audio typing, general administrative tasks, use of electronic systems, preparation of electronic and paper files, assisting with reporting and compilation of data, producing letters and reports, and managing diaries.

The key skills you will need to be successful in this role include:

Strong communication skills to liaise with service users, members of the public, the Police and a wide range of healthcare professionals;

Excellent administrative skills;

Use of Excel (not at advanced level);

Flexibility, calmness and a positive approach;

Strong organisational skills and the ability to be flexible in line with service needs;

A thorough understanding of confidentiality issues

The office hours are 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday. Full training will be provided in this friendly team.
