We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Psychotherapist to be part of a new service and to maintain a significant teaching and supervision component for Junior Doctors. This opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of the current post holder and commissioning of a new team.

This post holds potential for excellent personal development and of superb job satisfaction for a duly qualified candidate with MRCPsych and a CCT in Psychotherapy.

The successful applicant will take a key role in the Trust, providing medical leadership to the newly developed Emotion Regulation Pathway team with which they will be working and supporting current and future service developments. In addition, the post holder will be offering Psychotherapy Tutorship to Core & Specialist Psychiatric trainees.

This post offers a varied job working closely with the multidisciplinary team. We put a high emphasis on quality of care, peer support and on clinical engagement in service development and management.

We are able to support remote working and the Trust has excellent IT support which will allow an enthusiastic candidate to coproduce a job plan involving virtual consultations, MDT meetings, supervision and teaching in groups.

We welcome candidates who bring an enthusiasm for innovation, teaching and development and can work closely with colleagues from different professional backgrounds.

DBS Check
The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.

IMPORTANT - REFERENCES
We are obliged to check employment history for at least the past 3 years for successful candidates. Please ensure that the referees you provide us cover at least the past 3 years of your employment/training.

PLEASE NOTE, OUR SALARY SCALES ARE INCREMENTAL, AND STAFF NEW TO THE NHS WILL USUALLY START AT THE BOTTOM POINT OF THE PAYSCALE ADVERTISED.
